| Weekly Hello! |
6th July 2009 - 12th July 2009
The second of four lunar eclipses occurs on July 7th . It is a penumbral eclipse so the moon is not obliterated but only shaded. The eclipse will not be visible in Europe but it can be seen rising over Australia at dusk and setting in the west of North and South America before dawn. Like all full moons this eclipse portends an ending with the proverbial new beginning to follow – a theme that will be particularly strong in the charts of those of you with birthdays on the 6th and 7th July and 4th and 5th January. This eclipse is close to the sun in the US chart while the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction (exact on the 10th) is conjunct the US moon so it will be fascinating to see what and who comes and goes within the next few weeks.

| Month Ahead |
1st July 2009 - 31st July 2009
Three astro-events dominate our July stars: the lunar eclipse of the 7th, the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction of the 10th and the total solar eclipse of the 22nd. And it is the latter that packs the most powerful punch: this will be the longest total solar eclipse of the 21st Century so its impact in terms of global events could be huge. Also, it occurs at 29Â" 27Â" Cancer – all 29th degrees of the signs being deemed 'critical' degrees – which suggests even more portentous national and international developments over the next one to three months. En passant, I noted this eclipse closely conjuncts Pakistan's moon and Israel's moon so these are among the nations we should have on our 'of interest' list... Should you have any planet or point on or near the 29th degree of any sign, expect a brilliant window of opportunity to open before October and/or to be on the receiving end of a surprise set of events. I have waxed poetic about the Jupiter Neptune conjunction in the hopes that we will aspire to the spiritual heights it offers as opposed to descending into the chaos - let's focus on the fulfilment of dreams not the dashing of hope – but we shall see. Otherwise, Venus and Mars will be transiting Gemini from the 4th and 12th respectively, so marriage and romance will be the source of some big news stories, and if you're looking for someone to get the job done and whisper sweet-nothings to you, find a Gemini!
